Coaching – The value of executive coaching has been well documented and realised for many years by the CIPD. Allowing time away from the busy workplace to think more deeply and strategically is highly beneficial to senior managers and allows them to come up with their own solutions to issues at work. Having gained her doctorate in executive coaching and team learning, Rebekah can tailor a bespoke package for your or your team, at work or in private, to assist you reach what seem like impossible goals.
Facilitation – There are times when teams are so busy and so entrenched with the everyday, that bringing in an objective outsider to help companies realise their business, or sales and marketing plans can be highly beneficial. Bespoke packages are produced for each indiviual client to aid you team build for the future to develop your business.
Employability Skills Training – Whether your first venture in to the jobs market or a redeployment, Rebekah has experience of coaching 14 - 19 year old students in essential employability skills through to senior executives in transition between appointments. Everything from job searches, CVs and application forms to interview skills and presentations can be covered.
Coaching for Students – in the run up to important exams it can often help to have a little extra tuition. As a highly experienced coach, Rebekah can work with your child to think more reflectively about GCSE and A level questions, as well as entrance exams, so as to show their maximum potential. Not subject-specific, but thinking about the essay plan, exam writing styles, and showing meta learning are all things that Rebekah can help with.
Rebekah Gilbert became Co-Director of an executive search, coaching & facilitation company in April 2008. Working with & for senior executives, assignments took her to the USA & Europe, and she undertook coaching with people from the UK, China, Italy, Holland, India, Australia & the US, as well as facilitating & writing reports for companies in the UK & with links in the US & Canada. She delivered training days, & gained associate tutor status from the University of Chester, having gained their approval for a post graduate certificate course in wellbeing in the workplace. During this time Rebekah gained a doctorate of professional studies in coaching from Middlesex University. She has written staff wellbeing handbooks & company HR Manuals & staff handbooks. She started her first business as a concert promoter, orchestral manager & classical singer two years before graduating with honours from the Royal Academy of Music in 1993. She gained her MA in Management from City University the following year, specialising in HR management & employment law, & music management. Gaining an interest in politics in 1999, she worked briefly in the civil service (Office for National Statistics & Department for Culture, Media & Sports). This was followed by two years at the Greater London Authority as Chief Aide to a leading Assembly Member & later as deputy chief of staff to the group. Rebekah later worked as chief of staff to a busy shadow minister at the House of Commons from 2002-2008. From 2006-2010 Rebekah served as a London Borough Councillor, and also as a Member of the London Fire & Emergency Planning Authority, chairing the HR & Equalities Committee & sitting on the performance management, & finance committees. Rebekah’s second business was founded in 2005, providing voice training & presentational skills to clients in the public, voluntary & private sectors.
